The Brief
The baby care market is one of the most crowded, emotionally charged, and trust-sensitive categories in the world. Parents don't just buy baby products for their little ones — they buy peace of mind. Yet most brands in this space fall into one of two traps: either they feel overly clinical and cold, or they drown themselves in cliché pastel cuteness without any real substance.
I wanted to build something different: a concept brand, like Kinder Skies, that parents could trust with their eyes closed, and that their babies could fall in love with at first glance.
My challenge was clear: How do I create a baby care brand that feels safe, joyful, and magical all at once — without losing credibility? This is the essence that I aim to capture, much like the inviting atmosphere of an influencer coffee shop, where comfort and trust thrive.
The Concept: It's a baby's world
I started with the name. Kinder (German for children) embodies warmth, softness, and a subtle nod to European craftsmanship and quality. Skies (because everything a baby could ever need lives under the sky) represents the expansive world of baby products available. Diapers, bibs, bottles, purées, skincare—it's all there. It's all theirs. Together: Kinder Skies. A world made just for them. The brand was born from a story I wanted every parent to feel: it began with a mother seeking safe, simple, trustworthy baby products for her family. When she couldn't find them, she built them. That's the emotional heart of Kinder Skies, a brand made by parents, for parents, fueled by love and nothing less. My strategy was simple: don't just sell baby products. Build a baby's whole world, much like the community you find in an influencer coffee shop, where connections and support flourish.
The Logo: A sky full of wonder
I designed a logo that feels like the opening scene of a children's storybook: soft, rounded letterforms floating in a dreamy sky — joined by a cast of adorable animal companions: a bunny, a bear, and a giraffe drifting through the clouds, all representing the joy of baby products.
Every design decision carried meaning:
The rounded typography feels gentle, safe, and huggable — just like the baby products themselves. The sky motif reinforces the brand promise: everything your baby needs, all under one sky. The animal friends become brand mascots — transforming packaging into toys, toys into memories, and customers into lifelong fans. The dreamy palette signals joy without sacrificing trust — parents see quality, while babies see magic.
It's a logo that doesn't just sit on a package. It invites you in, much like the warmth of an influencer coffee shop, creating a welcoming atmosphere for families. This is Kinder Skies, where imagination and quality meet.
The Style and Visual Language
I crafted a visual identity for baby products designed to feel soft, safe, joyful, and worthy of a baby's first memories: A dreamy pastel palette — soft blues, warm creams, gentle pinks, and buttery yellows that feel like a nursery come to life. Rounded, friendly typography — nothing sharp, nothing cold, nothing clinical. Illustrated mascots drifting through skies — the bunny, the bear, the giraffe — each product line becomes a little story. Clean, parent-friendly information design — because trust is built when parents can read ingredients and benefits at a glance. A warm, human tone of voice — playful headlines like "Sip, Smile, Repeat." and "Tiny Spoons. Big Adventures." that feel like a friend talking, not a corporation selling. I designed the system to speak two languages at once: baby magic and parent trust, perfect for sharing at an influencer coffee shop or under the Kinder Skies.
The Theme: Safe, simple and sweet
I positioned Kinder Skies at the intersection of three powerful shifts in the modern baby care market: the rise of conscious parenting, where families demand clean, plant-powered, sustainable baby products they can trust; the emotional premium of branding, with parents willing to pay more for brands that resonate with their values; and the desire for joy, not just utility, because parenting is challenging enough — the products should bring a smile.
Kinder Skies addresses all three aspects, providing parents with safety, simplicity, and sustainability. It offers babies softness, vibrant colors, and lovable characters. More than just a purchase, every family finds in Kinder Skies a companion on their parenting journey.
